Academic Achievements
New Hall students consistently achieve outstanding GCSE and A Level results.
Our most recent results are as follows:
In 2023 at A Level, 12% of grades were A* with 37% of all grades at A*/A. Over two thirds of grades were A*-B.
For 2022, at A Level, 57% of all grades were A* or A with a quarter of all grades at A*. Our students achieved 82% of A*-B grades and 32 students received all A* or A grades. At GCSE one fifth of grades were at the top grade 9, while 40% of results were at 8+ and 59% at 7+.
In 2021 at GCSE, 79% of grades were at 7+ (A*/A), with 55% at 8+ and over 29% at 9. Eight students achieved a perfect score of straight 9s. At A Level, 97% of grades were at A*-B, with 75% at A*/A and 39% at A*. 72 students achieved all A* or A grades, with 30 achieving at least three A* grades.
2020 A Level and GCSE results built on the excellent results seen in previous years: 73% of GCSE grades awarded were 7+ (A*/A) and 65% of A Level grades awarded were A*/A.
In 2019, 51% of GCSE grades awarded were 7+ or A*-A, 90% of grades were 5+ or A*-B, and one third of all grades were 8+ or A*. A record 14% of grades were at the new highest grade 9.
