NURSERY

New Hall Nursery opened its doors to the School’s youngest pupils in September 2019. Alongside a team of Early Years Practitioners, Mrs Lynne Baines, Nursery Manager, provides a service offering wraparound care from 8.00am – 6.00pm, with an additional Breakfast Club provision available from 7.30am – 8.00am. Children can learn, develop and grow in a brand new, purpose-built building featuring a landscaped outdoor learning area, located on the School’s 70-acre campus.

Our purpose-built Nursery offers a spacious, bright and calm environment for your child to explore and develop their natural abilities and has a wealth of modern facilities. The building has been carefully designed to support all areas of your child’s learning whilst facilitating their emotional wellbeing in safe, nurturing and stimulating surroundings. The building offers air conditioning throughout and has CCTV installed for peace of mind.

Our exciting outdoor learning environment provides a spacious area that incorporates sand and water play, a mix of Astroturf, real grass, elevated areas and natural planting, all of which will nourish your child’s imagination. Children can delight in the mud kitchen and can take part in gardening activities in our vegetable and flower beds.

The Nursery is open to children aged 1-4, offering an educational programme delivered in specially-designed, age-appropriate rooms. Our qualified, experienced and nurturing staff, including subject specialists, ensure that the Nursery embodies the New Hall ethos, providing a holistic education based on Gospel values of care, trust and respect.

The seven areas of learning covered by the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum are the focus in Nursery and Pre-School, providing a relevant, purposeful and engaging curriculum, enabling pupils to exceed expectations as well as offering a smooth transition for those pupils continuing at New Hall.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the teachers in the Nursery for the amazing work that you all have done with our daughter this year. We are so grateful for all of the dedication, kindness and love that you have shown to our daughter and all of the children in nursery. We have seen her go from strength to strength and we are so proud of her and all that she has achieved. We know that this would not have been possible without all of the encouragement and stimulation that you have given to her. Listening to her read independently is one of the highlights of my day. Thank you so much for helping us to foster in her a love of learning and books. She truly loves school and I know that she is going to miss all of you dearly. We have loved hearing all of the stories about the activities that she has done. It is even more incredible that you have continued to show such care, commitment and professionalism during what has been another unprecedented year, which has tested all of us. The children have been lucky to have such wonderful role models who truly embody our school’s values of care, trust and respect.
