The Dance Department at New Hall School offers a wide range of options for students in the Senior Divisions. Based in dedicated studios in the Walkfares Performing Arts Centre, the Dance Department is one of the creative hubs of the School.
We offer ISTD examination classes in Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Cecchetti Ballet. Other dance styles such as Contemporary, Lyrical, Street Dance, Acro and Musical Theatre are offered to all students as part of the New Hall Co-Curriculum. We also offer an all-boys dance class and private coaching lessons.
New Hall School is proud to host the ISTD Janet Cram regional semi-finals and regular ISTD course training sessions.
Dance classes take place during lunchtime and after school clubs. On Saturday, we run a full dance timetable to include all dance examination classes. Senior Divisions’ students will have the option of dance as part of their Games curriculum lessons from Year 11 and above.
