Allegra represents Great Britain in an international skiing competition

I have just returned from representing the British Children’s Ski Team in Andorra and had the most amazing experience – one I shall never forget! The team, consisting of 10 people, travelled to Andorra for a week of international racing. We raced in all disciplines, which included the slalom, giant slalom, alpine combined and super G. Thirty-two nations from all over the world, including some of the best European teams, participated. Although the weather was clear, the race pistes were challenging as the snow was mostly soft, making crashing quite common for all of us. However, we all gained top 10 placings, helping GB gain an impressive 3rd position overall. I gained 9th place in the slalom and 12th place in the super G, but unfortunately crashed in the other disciplines. Representing the British team was enormous fun, particularly meeting other children from different parts of the world. I am honoured to have been part of the team for 2020.
