Year 6 Pupils Travel to France

Date Posted: Thursday 30 March 2023

In March 2023, Year 6 pupils travelled to France for a trip to remember with their friends whilst having the opportunity to work on their French speaking skills.

Souhayla in 6F also wrote a wonderful article about the visit:

“Our trip to Le Château de la Baudonnière was absolutely amazing. There were so many interesting and fun activities along with lessons which taught us more French than anything we could learn in England. All the animateurs spoke French constantly so it really pushed us to speak as much French as we could.

“During meals, we tried many authentic French foods such as: snails (or escargot as they were called), croissants, pain au chocolat and (my personal favourite) baguettes. This wonderful variety of food has given us a taste of France in a way no one expected (the snails were not that bad). Along with the delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners our dormitories were amazing. As our dorms were shared with our friends, we were comforted by our dorm mates when homesickness washed over us all. Even when we returned this trip was something that we will never forget as we learned to work together, be courageous in trying new things and that learning French can be really fun.”
