World Book Day (Senior Divisions)

Date Posted: Thursday 03 June 2021

World Book Day is a celebration of reading, books, illustrators and authors. The Senior Divisions celebrated World Book Day on March 4th with staff and students alike thinking about their favourite books in tutor time and throughout the day.

Students had sent in their ‘caught reading’ photos. From reading on horses to reading whilst on a digger, students found unusual places to enjoy their favourite book.

Mary Poppins, the Lorax, Just William, Where’s Wally and Rosalind Franklin all visited the library, and the revolting children from Roald Dahl’s Matilda tried to take over the library.

Every student will be given a World Book Day voucher on their return to School and these can be exchanged for a variety of books in any bookshop. If you would like to know what to read next please follow the Library Twitter feed, to get suggestions.
