Student-run charity ball raises over £2,800

Date Posted: Tuesday 19 November 2019

Two New Hall Sixth Form students saw their hard work and organisation come to fruition on 15 November 2019, in the form of a Winter Charity Ball.  Ella Duggan and Lauren Willson, both Year 13 students, organised the event which was attended by one hundred guests at Stock Brook Manor. Inspired by a desire to contribute to their chosen charities, Ella and Lauren raised just over £2,800 in aid of Mind, Unicef and the MSA Trust, through ticket sales, a raffle, an auction and various games.

“We are all so proud of Ella and Lauren for their inspiration and tireless work in delivering what has been a fantastic evening. This was their idea, their chosen charities and very much their own achievement. We aim to encourage all of our students to reach out to help others in life, and Ella and Lauren have been excellent role models in this respect.” said Mr Alderson, Head of Sixth Form at New Hall School.
