Remembrance Day

Date Posted: Friday 11 November 2022

On Friday 11 November, just before 11.00am, the Senior Divisions’ students and staff gathered at the front of School, to join with people across the UK marking Armistice Day with a two minute silence. In a dignified and poignant ceremony, wreaths were laid, John McCrae’s poem In Flanders Fields was read and The Exhortation was proclaimed. The Last Post and Reveille were played by Carlos B. (Year 9). Our ceremony ended with the haunting words of The Kohima Epitaph: “When you go home, tell them of us and say, For your tomorrow, we gave our today.”
