Preparatory Division Choir Performs in Young Voices concert at The O2

Date Posted: Thursday 05 May 2022

New Hall Preparatory Divisions attended the Young Voices Concert at the O2 Arena on Wednesday 4 May. Now in its 25th year, the concert offers primary-aged children across the country the opportunity to perform in some of the country’s leading venues alongside world famous artists (previously including Ed Sheeran, Adele and Tom Jones). Pupils have shown great dedication throughout the year to learn more than 10 extensive numbers ranging from songs composed especially for this year’s festival and medley arrangements of pop classics, to Beatles hits and songs from the Muppets!

Accompanied by a world-class professional band throughout, Young Voices sang alongside The Voice UK winner Ruti Olajugbagbe and Britain’s Got Talent star Connie Talbot, as well as delivering an emotionally charged rendition of the classic Mike + The Mechanics power ballad The Living Years, complete with sign language.

Over 150,000 students participate in Young Voices performances each year. They have performed for Pope John Paul II in the Vatican and set at least four Guinness World Records!
