New Hall’s 2020 Shoebox Appeal has seen members of the New Hall Community come together to collect Christmas shoeboxes for the Little Edi Foundation, a locally-run charity that distributes aid to children across rural areas of Romania and Moldova.
These shoeboxes, which students have filled with a wide variety of gifts, from gloves
, tennis balls, shampoo, hairbrushes and more, will be sent to the poorest children in rural Moldova. The shoeboxes ensure that these children have a gift to open on Christmas morning.
Through the generosity of New Hall students, parents and staff, the School has collected an astonishing 431 shoeboxes; surpassing last year’s record. Students from all divisions participated in the appeal, from the Nursery to the Sixth Form.
Charity is central to New Hall’s Catholic ethos. The boarding and day school for students aged 1-18 has a Catholic foundation, which welcomes those of all backgrounds.
