Date Posted: Friday 22 November 2019

New Hall School in Chelmsford, has been named as one of the top 100 cricketing schools in the country by The Cricketer magazine, as part of the Cricketer Schools Guide 2020 for the fifth consecutive year.

New Hall’s inclusion is confirmation of the outstanding facilities, fixture programmes and coaching available to girls and boys as part of the School’s cricket provision.  New Hall has enjoyed great cricketing success in 2019, with the 1st XI cricket team winning the 2019 Castle Festival in July, U17s winning the regional section of the National Cup and the U14s claiming their third consecutive County Cup win.  A number of students throughout the School’s Divisions have also been selected to represent the county, most recently Camille Adams, Jasmine Gravatt, Rosie Salter-Bellm, and Sophia Slough who have been called up to the Essex Under 11 cricket squad.

Paul Davidge, Head of Cricket at New Hall said “This is great recognition for all the hard work and dedication shown by our staff and students throughout the academic year.  We offer a very comprehensive cricket programme and aim to offer opportunities to cricketers of all ability levels throughout the school.”
