New Hall embraces the Beautiful Game

Date Posted: Tuesday 10 October 2023

New Hall School has an enviable reputation for its outstanding co-curricular programme, particularly its award-winning Sports, Dance and Performing Arts provision.

The School competes and excels across ten sports, Skiing, Golf, Athletics, Cricket, Hockey, Netball, Riding, Rugby, Swimming and Tennis, but this term has announced two very exciting new developments.

New Hall has announced plans for a new Equestrian and Learn to Ride Centre, and from the Lent Term, girls and boys at New Hall will be competing in the beautiful game.

New Hall is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Marcus Spremulli as its Head of Football, the first since the School’s founding in 1642.  Mr Spremulli brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role and he is setting the bar high with plans for an extensive programme of coaching and fixtures for girls and boys.  In advance of the Lent Term, New Hall will be kicking off with a residential football camp at the end of November.

New Hall’s students are equally excited.  Michelle, Year 7, trains with West Ham Academy and said: “I am so pleased that girls and boys at New Hall will have the opportunity to excel in football.”  Similarly, Hudson in Year 8, who trains with the Arsenal Academy, was quick to share his enthusiasm: “It’s amazing news, I am so happy.  New Hall is fantastic in so many sports already, and I am very excited that we will be training and competing in football, too.”

So, for New Hall Football, it is very much Game On!
