New Hall donates PPE to frontline key workers

Date Posted: Thursday 23 April 2020

Hundreds of PPE face shields have been made by staff in the Art, Design & Technology Department at New Hall School for frontline key workers dealing with the coronavirus crisis.

Mr Adams, Art, Design & Technology Technician, has manufactured face shields using the School’s laser cutter and materials leftover from GCSE coursework. Over 200 face shields have been supplied to NHS staff at New Hall’s local hospital, Broomfield Hospital.

A large amount of protective equipment has also been donated to three local care homes, including face shields, protective glasses, gloves and aprons. New Hall has received several requests directly from parents working within the NHS and Social Care for these PPE items, and continues to produce PPE for frontline workers in the local area.
