Many Wins at the ISA Eastern Region Heat

Date Posted: Thursday 28 October 2021

Last year, in New Hall’s first entry in the ISA Art Final, our students registered the most successes out of any other ISA Secondary School. This year, we are delighted to report more resounding success in the Eastern Region heat held in Cambridge this month.

In the senior categories, New Hall won in six of the main categories. This included a clean sweep in the sketchbook sections for Amelia (New Hallian 2014-2021) and Poppy (Year 11). Grace (New Hallian 2014-2021) once again won through in the KS5 Textiles section, having also been the National winner in this section in 2020. Amelia, now studying Art and Design at a renowned university, has also remarkably been placed first in the KS5 Sculpture and Painting sections. Luke (Year 10) has won the KS3 Painting section after he took to the medium of oil painting in after-school Art sessions. Elsewhere, senior students from New Hall claimed a further five second place certificates and four certificates for third place finishes, in sections as diverse as Photography and Fashion as well.

In the National Final, held in Coventry in mid-November, the representatives of the Easter Region will compete against six other entries in each section. Well done to all!
