We were delighted to host a day’s retreat for Year 5 pupils from St Mary’s Hare Park School, one of the Catholic independent schools in the Brentwood diocese, recently.

After a welcome from Deputy Principal Mr Andrew Fardell in our Chapel, the first session of the day was art and meditation, centred around the creation. The pupils, their class teacher and the head teacher were then able to enjoy a swim in our swimming pool, followed by a picnic lunch with outdoor games in the picturesque walled Magdalen Garden.

After lunch it was time to visit the farm ato meet our many animals there, learning about their care and making a collage from items around the farm including sheeps’ fleece. Then it was back to the Chapel for a singing lesson followed by a joyous celebration of Mass shared with our with Year 5 Preparatory Division New Hall pupils.
