French Soirée
Last week, many students, parents and staff enjoyed a French Soirée – a night of French cuisine and culture at New Hall. Food for the evening was prepared by a dedicated brigade of students from across the School who chopped, braised and sweated in the Cookery Room to produce some delicious canapés.
French enthusiasts gathered in the Jubilee Hall to try French delicacies made by students, to sip on carefully-selected wine and to chat. Monsieur Boudon, Head of French, guided us through a fascinating cultural and historical presentation, before screening a film that had more than one of us taking a peek at the subtitles to confirm what we thought was being said. Well done to all involved in the planning and management of this evening- un grand plaisir!
