New Hall features in a BBC4 documentary at 9.00pm on Wednesday 17 June 2009 titled Henry VIII - Patron or Plunderer? The documentary, presented by Dr Jonathan Foyle, explores Henry VIII’s use and abuse of the arts.
Former New Hall student and handbag designer Anya Hindmarch has been awarded an MBE at Buckingham Palace. Anya visited the palace on 2 June, to receive her Member of the Order of the British Empire from the Queen. Anya is the guest of honour at this year's Leavers' Ball.
New Hall has been awarded the Good Schools Guide A Level Award for students taking ICT at Applied A level at an English Independent School. The prestigious award aims to highlight excellent teaching in individual subjects and is based on combined results from 2006-08.
The team are winners of the HSBC Rugby Festival after a final held at Twickenham.
