Peace Vigil

Date Posted: Monday 20 November 2023

On Tuesday night, the Chaplaincy Team led our boarding community in a Peace Vigil for those experiencing conflicts around the world.

The Chapel was candle lit, accompanied by beautiful prayerful music, and each boarding house gathered for silent reflection and prayer, and participated in chaplaincy activities at the prayer stations in each corner of the Chapel. These stations included lighting candles, creating an ‘Artwork of Peace’; writing peace prayers which will be offered in Mass on Sunday; reflecting on what peace means to us through scripture; and placing symbols of love, hope and forgiveness onto the world map to ask for God’s love in those areas experiencing conflict.

It was a beautiful and inspirational evening and it was very special for our community to gather together in the chapel for this evening of reflection and prayer.
