The Housemistress/Housemaster will have overall pastoral responsibility for the well-being of boarding students within our Senior Girls’ Boarding House.  Under the leadership of the Head of Boarding, the Housemistress/Housemaster is expected to understand and be prepared to commit to the Catholic ethos of the School.  The school operates a distinctive and innovative diamond model educational structure, with a mixture of single-sex and co-educational teaching.  Public examination results at GCSE and A Level are excellent.  The school was assessed as outstanding in its 2010 and 2013 inspections.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of being a key member of a Boarding House team, and have obtained, or be willing to study for, a BSA qualification.  S/he will have excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to relate to girls in Years 11-13, supporting them in their A Level studies and applications for further education placements.  Experience in managing a small staff is also desirable.  This is a residential post, which is available to teaching or non-teaching applicants;  teachers must have a strong track record of success in teaching at A Level or equivalent.

A competitive salary will be offered, dependent on skills and experience.
