Head of Cricket

The School requires from 1 September 2021 a Head of Cricket

Competitive salary, up to £30,860-£36,233pa, all year round (35 days’ holiday including Bank Holidays), excellent benefits & CPD, accommodation available to rent

A well-qualified graduate and outstanding cricket coach is required to take the leading role in the continued development of cricket as one of the School’s major sports for girls and boys.  The successful candidate will ideally have experience of the County Cricket Academy programme and have coached and/or played to a high standard within the County system.  The candidate will be able to coach a second sport, ideally hockey, rugby or netball. There is no requirement to teach academic PE.  The Head of Cricket will be expected to contribute fully to the wider co-curricular and boarding life of the School.  The role includes Saturday fixtures during term time, as well as pre-season training and UK/international tours.  During the School’s holidays, the Head of Cricket will work with children attending summer camps and sports camps, as required.

New Hall is a warm, welcoming and supportive environment, with a mixture of single-sex and co-educational teaching.  As well as outstanding cricket facilities, the School enjoys first class floodlit facilities, including: two all-weather hockey pitches, a 3G rugby training pitch, a national standard athletics track, extensive playing fields, 25m 6-lane indoor pool, 10 tennis courts, 8 netball courts, sports hall and fitness suite.  New Hall has a strong reputation for sport, with students competing at county, regional and national level in a wide range of sports.  Single School accommodation may be available to rent, in a shared flat/house.
