Assistant Housemaster/Housemistress (Junior Division)
The Assistant Housemaster/Housemistress shares in the pastoral responsibility for the well-being of students outside of school curriculum time. Under the leadership of the Head of Boarding and Housemistress, the Assistant Housemistress is expected to understand and be prepared to commit to the Catholic ethos of the school. The school operates a distinctive and innovative diamond model educational structure, with a mixture of single-sex and co-educational teaching. Public examination results at GCSE and A Level are excellent.
The successful candidate will have an interest in working in a boarding environment, and have obtained, or be willing to study for a BSA qualification. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to boys or girls aged 7 to 13. This is a residential post available to teaching or non-teaching applicants. The post holder will be required to supervise either the boys’ or girls’ boarding houses and have the ability to interact across both junior houses during the weekend.
