New Hall student Ellie Blackford, has been selected to attend the GB Tennis U14 training camp in December. Ellie is part of the New Hall Senior Girls Tennis team who finished tenth in the UK at the National Schools Tennis Championships this summer, and has worked hard throughout the year to gain entry to the sport at the national level.
“Ellie has been training extremely hard this term and all of the coaching team at New Hall School are delighted with the progress she continues to make,” said Mark Simpson-Crick, Head of Tennis at New Hall School. “To represent your country is a significant achievement and tangible recognition of the hard work that Ellie has put in on the courts and also with our tennis strength and conditioning team. Ellie has led the line for our Under 15 team this season, helping them to win the Essex Schools Tennis League and our Senior team to finish tenth in the UK at the National Schools Tennis Championships. We are extremely proud that she will now be part of the GB team and wish her the best of luck at the upcoming training camp.”
