Careers Education is incorporated into PSHEE lessons. All the careers related lessons, resources and activities have been reviewed and a proportion of lessons are carried out by our Careers Officer.
A variety of guest speakers for lessons and assemblies will be arranged throughout the academic year, accompanied by trips for Year 12 and Year 13 to events such as the National Apprenticeship Show, UCAS exhibitions, University and Apprenticeship Search Fairs and more. This is in place to help students make informed decisions for their post-18 options.
New Hall works very closely with external partners to provide students a wealth of support and information when making decisions in sixth form, including Pathway CTM, Unifrog and Careers Testing/Researching programmes.
New Hall holds an Annual Careers Fair, providing students with the opportunity to speak with various businesses, colleges, universities, skilled professionals and inspirational speakers. This encourages students to think about their Career options and inspires and guides them in the right direction.
Careers Programme and Policy
New Hall has an up to date Careers Programme in place for both Year 12 and Year 13.
