GCSE Examination Success
A GCSE Level 1 Politics qualification is offered to Year 6 pupils, taught by the Head of Politics. In 2020, 28 pupils participated – our largest ever cohort – and 89% of grades were at A*-B. For the fifth year running, New Hall entered the youngest candidates nationally, five academic years early.
Early Years Foundation Stage
At the end of Reception, pupils are internally assessed against the Early Learning Goals in each of the Areas of Learning. A ‘Good Level of Development’ identifies pupils who have met the Early Learning Goals in Communication & Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Literacy and Mathematics. Teacher assessments are externally moderated and are exceptionally strong compared to national levels.
