Located in the Senior Divisions, the New Hall School Health Centre is staffed by HCPC registered Paramedics and an Emergency Medical Technician between 8.00am-6.00pm, Monday to Friday (term time), with a full time counsellor available for the wellbeing of the students. The resident Paramedic and EMT are available on site 24 hours a day for all emergencies. The Preparatory Divisions are also covered between 8.00am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday, by an HCPC registered Paramedic.
The Health Centre has a treatment room and four bedrooms, serving both day and boarding students and works in partnership with Little Waltham Surgery, Chelmsford. Doctors hold surgeries on a Tuesday and Friday for our boarding students and the School’s Medical Officer, Dr Mackin, oversees clinical practice in the Health Centre.
The Health Centre staff are trained to deal with both injuries and illnesses, treating students, staff and visitors on site. All of our staff are still actively practising with the NHS emergency Ambulance services out of term time, which keep them up to date with new guidelines and protocols.
