Day Four

Once again a cold start to the day, but it has turned out quite pleasant for this afternoon. Groups 3 and 4 took part in archery and climbing activities this morning.  Everyone had a go and the majority managed to climb well over 35 feet!

The afternoon was time to work as a team to design and build a raft, using barrels, ropes and poles. As you can see, one team's building skills were not as successful as the other! Everyone had great fun.

A fun filled day of swinging about, crawling through tunnels, use our senses, working together and initiative exercises!

Group 1 & 2 enjoyed the giant swing and worked on using their initiative and working together on the tunnel and sensory trail.

Group 3 & 4 did raft building in the afternoon and created very stable rafts.

Group 5 did the massive vertical challenge and made fire in their survivor session then had a go at archery and climbing.

Last night saw the children transform from their muddy activity clothes and into their lovely dresses and shirts for the PGL disco, all had a great time dance to all kinds of tunes.

Day Three

Everyone made it through our second night away, only a spider incident was a cause for alarm but Mr Johnson quickly removed the eight legged creature before the girls settled off to sleep!

Another lovely breakfast before Group 1 and 2 hit the lake for raft building. Group 3 and Miss Rivers tackled the zip wire, Group 4 and Miss Allen on the low ropes course then swapping over activities. Group 5 had a go at abseiling and aeroball!

A very successful morning of challenging, wet and fun activities!

This afternoon saw a few more clouds as the children complete their 7th & 8th activity including the vertical challenge, archery and survivor.  The evening activities started with a room inspection, overall very impressive and tidy rooms were found. This was followed by a massive game of Cluedo with all of the other schools here at PGL with the children working in their classes to gain clues about who stole the Liddington jewels! Half way through our clue hunting game we were given a natural shower and needed to abort!

Day Two

After a cloudy start, the sun came out for our first session of activities which included abseiling, aeroball, the giant swing, initiative exercises and the tunnel trail.  Everyone had a go, including the teachers.

Our second session of activities included the sensory trail and zip wire. Mrs. Smith and Mr Mcintosh both went zipping down!

After a visit to the gift shop and lunch, our afternoon sessions began. Group 5 enjoyed making rafts and getting rather wet after their rafts broke apart! Lots of fun was had with two more groups laughing as they went down the zip wire and bouncing on the aeroball court.

All of the pupils are doing very well and enjoying all the new experiences.

We have woken to a cloudy day, but are still full of energy ready for our first session of activities.

Last night we had a lovely dinner and did some team challenges involving some wobbly running, clown costumes and displaying some dramatic emotions.

Congratulations to Team Kiwi who came out on top, winning three of the five rounds.

All settled and had a good nights' sleep after a long, very hot day!
