New Hall Preparatory School Tennis Tournament
On Saturday, New Hall School hosted an internal Preparatory School Tournament with entries from Year 1 to Year 6. The tournament was well subscribed and some excellent tennis was played throughout the day. The round robin stage was very competitive with many players losing out by just a couple of points. In the U8 red tournament, Hugo Ruiz (1S) battled through after being match point down in the semi-finals, by going on to beat Benjamin Buckland (2H) in the final, 10-8. The U9 orange tournament saw Joseph Murphy (4D) beat Felix Ruiz (4R) 10-8 in another great game. Holly Whitworth (6M) fought hard to reach the final but lost out 4-1 to Edward Lerwill (6M) who played some fantastic tennis throughout the day. Thanks to all the parents who helped out with the umpiring.
