May 2011 - U10 v Widford Lodge Preparatory School, Chelmsford
In their first match together, with one man down, the U10 team stormed into a lead with fantastic rounders from Megan Cotton and Holly Haslam. Megan bowled steadily throughout the whole match and led the team to a 7 ½ - 7 lead after 30 balls for each team. Katriya Levine was excellent as the back stop and Chloe Elsom was solid on fourth post. All players contributed to an exciting game, closely fought until a final score of 13 ½-17 ½. The girls had a very good understanding of fielding, making only a few minor errors which will improve with practice. Megan Cotton and Holly Haslam were the players of the match and showed enormous potential after this first game. Thank you to the parents for their support and assistance with refreshments at the end of the match.
