Karting Championship Success for Luke

Last weekend, Luke Freestone (6M) competed in the first round of the 2012 Summer Karting Championship at Bayford Meadows in Kent. He qualified in 2nd place out of 16 drivers which was an outstanding achievement given that it was his first race meeting on a full licence. He attained 3rd and 5th places in the two pre-final races, which put him in 4th place on the grid for the final. Luke drove well in the final and was on course to take 3rd place before he suffered a mechanical failure. Despite this, and given his strong performance in the pre-finals, he still managed to achieve enough points to position him in 10th place overall. Luke has now entered the Formula 6 Championship which starts this weekend and takes place at six different circuits around the country over the coming months. Luke has also been selected as a test driver for DK Engines. We wish Luke all the best in his forthcoming events.
