On Wednesday 22 May, the annual Jazz Evening took place in the North Room. With an array of performers, it was an joyous evening of music.

Charlize Spriggs (Year 7) is swimming The Channel this summer to raise funds for Papworth Hopsital. She will be swimming the 22 miles from Dover to France, with five members of her family and friends taking hour-long shifts each until they reach France.
On Wednesday 15 May, Reception enjoyed their trip to Tropical Wings, despite the blustery weather! They saw a wide range of animals at the zoo including rabbits, guinea pigs, camouflage frogs, talking parrots and cute meerkats.
Amelia Bradford (Year 9) is honoured to have been asked to assist at the Pony World Championships in France, following her debut, as the youngest international official, in Slovenia at the World Cup previously.
On Wednesday 8 May, another round of New Hall formal debating took place in the North Room. Students from Years 12 - 13 debated the issue of the boundaries of the freedom of speech, with a contributing audience of over 50.
On Tuesday 30 April, Year 3 dressed up as Ancient Greeks and visited a market place where they worked as slaves making remedies for ailments, painting frescoes and making lucky charms and amphora from clay.
On Friday 3 May 2013, Hanik Kotecha and Madeleine Leathley (both Year 13) received Catholic Diocesan Citizenship Awards at Brentwood Cathedral in recognition of their tireless work raising money for charity, creating community and promoting prayer and reflection in school.
Congratulations to the New Hall Riding Team who competed at the NSEA County Qualifier at Norton Heath last week.
Congratulations to Elizabeth Shiers and Catherine Leighton (both Year 13) for gaining Bronze medals in the British Biology Olympiad Competition, organised by The Society of Biology.
