Year 10 Trip to Cambridge University

On 31 January, 20 aspiring Year 10 students had the opportunity to visit Cambridge University for the day as part of the OMEGA programme. The students experienced life in a Cambridge college for the morning; eating in the college dining hall and chatting with undergraduates, they even had the chance to plan a typical week in the life of an English undergraduate, struggling to choose between the many options available to them. They engaged in some enthusiastic poetry analysis with one of Miss Byrne’s former English supervisors and toured the city in the afternoon. They also dropped in on a Law lecture and found themselves overwhelmed by the scale of the University Library. The students very much enjoyed the day and felt it was truly inspirational.
