University Award from England Hockey Team

We were delighted to hear this week that Kate Maxey (Year 13), outgoing Sports Captain, has been awarded a National Performance Centre place at Loughborough University. This has been awarded by England Hockey to only 6 girls from this year’s U18 England squad. Kate already holds a place to read Sports Science with Geography at Loughborough. The award will allow Kate to follow an elite training programme whilst at university. She will also receive sponsorship to assist her in completing her degree. It will give Kate the opportunity to access top quality coaching at a university renowned for its hockey success, whilst also continuing her studies.
