Ten Ten Theatre Visit

On Friday 21 January, we had a visit from the Ten Ten Theatre group. The group began the day working with Year 5 and 6 pupils to put together a performance of a play called Healthy Heart. The play helped the children to understand how it is possible to build relationships and discover friendship. It also reinforced the fact that everyone is valuable in the eyes of God. Imogen Coker (6S) said ‘I really enjoyed the play, it taught us how we can keep a healthy heart and the theatre group used cool music effectively to tell the story’. The Year 3 and 4 pupils participated in a play called The Gift which helped them to discover the beauty of self-giving and sacrifice. In the afternoon, Reception, Year 1 and 2 joined the actors to watch Up in the Clouds, a play which demonstrated that you can find happiness not only in what you want for yourself but also in doing things for others. The theatre group also held a session with parents to inform them of the content of each play and the ways in which the messages could be carried on at home. Thank you to all those parents who attended.
