Lourdes Pilgrimage
On 12 July, 15 Sixth Form students set off from Stansted with Miss Brown and Miss Edwards on Pilgrimage to Lourdes with Ampleforth Abbey. As helpers on the pilgrimage, students worked as part of a team to support the ill or disabled pilgrims who are also on the pilgrimage. It is incredibly hard work and emotionally tiring but it is also great fun and very rewarding. All of the students worked very hard and also had the opportunity to relax in the evening with other pilgrims. They were all great ambassadors for New Hall and we received many compliments about their positive attitude and contribution to the week. Pictured below is current Head Girl, Camille Hamilton-Villemur, with Priscilla Noble-Matthews, who was Head Girl of New Hall in 1944. They were delighted to find out that they were both in Pole House!
