Flutewise workshop

On Thursday 6 May, a group of flautists from the Senior and Preparatory School were selected to participate in a Flutewise workshop exploring experimental flute sounds with Ian Clarke, a leading composer and performer.
 
Following the workshop, they opened a concert at Chelmsford Cathedral, playing Ian’s composition Zig Zag Zoo. Ian Clarke then gave an outstanding performance. Trevor Wye, a leading flute educationalist, also treated the students to an entertaining performance, playing a vast collection of flutes and whistles from around the world. This was a fantastic experience for our flautists.
