Fishes Formal

On Friday 14 May, the New Hall School Alumni Old Fishes Association hosted its first “Fishes Formal”.

We were delighted to welcome back over 70 former students and their guests, who were joined by the outgoing Senior Prefect team.

The evening began with a champagne reception in The Barn, where there was the opportunity to see hundreds of old photographs and reminisce about school days. Following this in the North Room, Sr Margaret Mary Horton (former student, housemistress, headmistress and member of the Religious Community) spoke as the Guest of Honour. It was wonderful to hear her talk so movingly about her time at New Hall and also about the wonderful work that the Community are now undertaking in their new homes.

The splendid meal was enjoyed by all and the conversation flowed until late into the evening. It was a wonderful occasion and an event which we are sure will become an annual tradition.
