Fire Brigade Visit

On Thursday, we welcomed the local fire brigade to school to talk to our Year 3 and Pre-Reception pupils. They talked to the children about fire prevention and safety within the home. They also discussed their work in the community and allowed the pupils to look inside and around the fire engine they had brought to school. Each child had the opportunity to use one of the engine hoses to spray water and experience for themselves one of the tasks of a Fire Fighter. Everyone learned a great deal about what brave work the fire fighters undertake on a day to day basis and much fun was had in the process!
