Essex County Sevens Tournament

On 16 March, the New Hall U12 Rugby Sevens A and B teams competed against all of the top teams in the county in the Essex County Sevens Tournament.

The B team beat Barking Abbey Sports College in their final game with Oliver Swallow scoring possibly the longest try so far seen at New Hall. He picked the ball up from over his own try line to run the full length of the pitch to score under the posts.

The A team won matches against Honywood, Davenant Foundation, St John Payne and Bromfords School and secured a place in the semi final. New Hall played their best game to date and totally outplayed Campion by 5 tries to 1 in the semi final unfortunately losing out on the title to Colchester RGS in the final.

This is the first time that our Year 7 team has reached the final this county cup. We are very proud of their achievements.
