New Hall hosted a Music Study Day at Ratcliffe College in Leicestershire for Directors of Music in Catholic Independent Schools throughout the country. Father Andrew Robinson (priest of the Archdiocese of Liverpool, former Organ Scholar at Trinity College, Oxford and keynote speaker for the Conference for the Directors of Music of the Catholic Cathedrals of England and Wales), Stephen Dean (composer and publisher of Decani Music), and Frances Novillo (regional music adviser for the Royal Schools of Church Music) all held sessions on liturgical music as a distinctive feature in Catholic schools.
