Football at New Hall Preparatory School
New Hall 5-a-side Football Tournament
FKS, Holmwood House, Heathcote School and hosts New Hall all participated in an indoor 5-a-side competition on Monday, 3 December. Playing indoors and following some different rules was clearly a new experience for most of the teams.
New Hall performed very well and visibly improved as the matches progressed. Man of the Tournament for New Hall was Grant Beard who played very well in a number of positions.
Overall, New Hall finished 4th after scoring an unfortunate own goal in the final minute of the last game to draw. A win in this match would have seen them finish 2nd. Holmwood House won the competition remaining unbeaten throughout.
Team: Grant Beard, Kieran Drew, Kavin Kugan, Harry Phelps, Gregory Oxlade, Taylor Robinson, Scott Taylor
Football vs Our Lady Immaculate School
A win was the reward for a hard working New Hall side on Tuesday evening. A good start gave New Hall a 2-0 lead at half time thanks to Ciaran Moore who just can’t stop scoring at the moment and a deflected shot from Samuel Brown. Our Lady Immaculate pulled one goal back in the second half and laid siege to the New Hall goal but the red and blacks held on for a deserved victory.
