Gina Hill
Gina Hill attended New Hall School from 1986 - 1993 and gained A Levels in Art & Design and Spanish. She was Vice Captain of the Sixth Form House, PE Captain in her final year and was a member of the Essex U21 Netball Team. On leaving New Hall she went to Loughborough University until 1997 after gaining a BA (HONS) in Printed Textiles and a Diploma in Art & Design. During her final year at University she headed the Degree Fund Committee.
In 1997 Gina was a runner up in the National Young Designer of the Year Award.
In September 1997 Gina was able to continue her interest in textiles by working for a Ribbons & Trimmings company as one of their Sales Assistant/Stylists. She worked there until January 1999 and during that time had the opportunity to work with magazine stylists preparing for photo shoots. She then worked as a Business and Customer Services Team Leader for a year before being promoted to Assistant Product Manager in January 2000.
Gina won 'Best Christmas Card Box 2000' at the Henries Awards (National Greetings Card competition) during 2000.
She represented Hallmark at various National Greeting Card and Gift Exhibitions and within a year of joining Hallmark she was promoted to Product Manager. Whilst at Hallmark Gina was given the opportunity to develop an exclusive range of products worth £6m for Boots Plc and she also managed a team of Designers and her Assistant Product Manager. Gina left the company to move to Gibraltar in February 2002.
Shortly after moving to Gibraltar she became part of the family business Anglo Hispano, working with her two sisters Bella and Lucila (also Old Fishes).
On 12th July 2002 Gina married Richard Edward Hill.
During July 2002 Gina embarked on an exciting new venture, she set up a little business in her spare time (whilst still working for Anglo Hispano) called Gina Hill Fashion Accessories. She designs and makes hats, headpieces, shawls, handbags and other accessories to order by appointment. She is thoroughly enjoying it and getting increasingly busy. She hopes that eventually Gina Hill Fashion Accessories will expand into a bigger enterprise. See photos for examples of Gina's work.
Gina and her husband are thoroughly enjoying all aspects (the weather, family, friends etc...) of life in Gibraltar.
If there is any spare time Gina likes to play golf and tennis, she loves flower arranging, sewing and interior design.
