Anya Hindmarch
Anya Hindmarch has established herself as a leading young handbag designer in the United Kingdom. Her much coveted designs using beautiful linings, special skins and exquisite fabrics have become highly sought after. They marry the world of fun, through whimsical styling, and function whilst maintaining understated luxury and superb quality.
At the end of July 1993, the first Anya Hindmarch shop opened as a first floor shop in London's fashionable Walton Street, Chelsea and she now has a strong, private clientele base, as well as numerous, leading, international stockists in some twenty five countries.
She has also recently become a consultant to British Airways and has designed the First Class amenity bag called the 'BAg' which offers an original Anya Hindmarch product to each First Class passenger full of the latest cutting edge skin care.
Following the success of the discreet Anya Hindmarch shop in London, Ist December 1995 marked the opening of the Anya Hindmarch shop in Hong Kong to much acclaim. It was the first Anya Hindmarch shop in Asia.
1997 marked the company's tenth anniversary and the opening of a second store in London. This is the Anya Hindmarch flagship store, designed in conjunction with architects Andrew Waugh and Authony Thistleton and is situated on one of London's latest, fashionable areas Pont Street: a few steps away from Sloane Street.
February 1999 welcomed the first Anya Hindmarch concession within the world famous store Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge.
Every season a collection of approximately 45 handbags (each adopting its name from various London streets) covering day, evening, informal and formal wear is produced.
