Rugby Colts Festival

On Saturday 13th October we were delighted to host our first annual Rugby Colts Festival.
There was some excellent play from the year 5 and 6 pupils from New Hall, Holmwood House (A+B), Old Buckenham Hall (A+B), Orwell Park, Felsted, Widford Lodge, Elm Green and Loyola Preparatory School. After each team had played their 4 group matches, the competition was split into 3 divisions. Elm Green defeated Old Buckenham Hall B in the Shield Final for teams finishing 5th in their group. Orwell Park won the Plate competition for the teams finishing 3rd and 4th in their group, defeating Holmwood House B in the final. In the Main competition, for the winners and runners-up in the groups, Old Buckenham Hall A emerged victorious against Widford Lodge to become the first winners of what is sure to be a popular annual event.
Congratulations to the New Hall team which was playing its first competitive rugby. They managed to qualify for the Plate competition and will no doubt have learned a great deal from their experience.
