Admissions

When considering New Hall Preparatory School for your daughter or son, you are advised to make an enquiry as soon as possible and to register your child as year groups can fill up very quickly. Children may be registered from birth.

The best thing to do is to visit us, whether on an Open Day or at a time convenient for you, when you will have the opportunity for an individual or group tour with a student. During your visit, you will meet either Sarah Conrad, Headteacher of the Preparatory School, or another senior member of staff. We hope that you experience first-hand the happy atmosphere at New Hall Preparatory School. You may take the opportunity to explore the magnificent grounds and exceptional facilities and, of course, to meet the students and staff.

Most girls and boys join New Hall Preparatory School in Pre-Reception (the academic year in which a child turns 4 years old). Entrance is by parent interview and attendance to at least one “drop-in” session in the Lent & Trinity Terms prior to entry. Places may be either full-time or part-time, with preference given to those seeking full-time. There is a minimum requirement of 6 sessions per week. A session is either a morning or an afternoon.

Students may also join New Hall Preparatory School at other times but this is subject to availability.

If you have questions about any aspect of our admissions procedure, please do not hesitate to contact Elizabeth Murphy, Registrar, who will be pleased to assist.
