New Hall School has won four top prizes at the Essex Business Excellence Awards including Essex Business of the Year 2013. The finalists’ awards dinner at Stock Brook Manor, on Thursday 12 September, turned out to be a memorable evening of celebration.
New Hall was entered for 3 categories: Essex Community Award (New Hall Voluntary Service and Messing Primary School sponsorship); Best Growth Award; and the Excellence in Marketing Award. Not only did we win all 3 categories, we went on to win the overall ‘outstanding’ category, as Essex Business of the Year 2013. In the 16 years of the competition, only once before has a finalist won in as many as 4 categories.
The competition is run by the Essex Chronicle newspaper and the Guest of Honour for the evening was The Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
Mrs Jeffrey, Principal, accepted the awards on behalf of the school and acknowledged the great teamwork, dedication, care and commitment from all staff at New Hall for going the extra mile to make our wonderful school stand out as worthy of such recognition. She also thanked parents for their on-going support and, of course, our students, praising them for their dedication and commitment to learning.
