The half term was bookended with some excellent Riding performances from Albert (Year 13), Amelia (Year 10), Claudia (Year 8) and Oliver (Year 8). Having qualified for the NSEA National Championships earlier in the year, Amelia and Albert competed in Dressage and Showjumping events at Keysoe International over the first weekend of the holiday. Competing in Showjumping, Albert and his horse Milo came home with a 1st place rosette for his performance in the 1.10m Jump4Joy class, followed by two 2nd place rosettes in the 90-95cm Jump4Joy and Jumping with Style classes – congratulations! Amelia and her horse Rocky put in a beautiful performance in Dressage and, although they did not place at the Championships, Amelia was very proud to have qualified and represented New Hall. Well done to both!

Oliver and Claudia competed in the Inter-schools Showjumping Qualifiers where the team finished 2nd in the 70cm Class. Claudia qualified for the Hickstead final next year after winning the 80cm Class on Thug to become the Essex County Champion. Well done, Claudia and Oliver!

The New Hall Equestrian Team has excelled so far this year and we are very proud of everything our students have achieved. We look forward to seeing more successes in the coming season.
